Early in October I decided that if I finished some log overdue home projects I would spend a couple of weeks in Mexico. Jane quickly encouraged my to spend some time with our friend Ana Lucia who lives inGuadalajara, and before I knew it the trip have gone from two to three weeks!
Well the home projects were moving well and I planned to leave on Sunday evening for a night in Boston before flying to Guadalajara via Dallas and San Jose del Carbo. Potential disaster struck on Saturday October 31st - Emma fell out of the tree from about 20 feet while climbing under the supervision of her Mom! The blood wagon came and took her to hospital and after several hours, an xray and multiple doctor visits she was discharged just in time for the Halloween trek through 5th ward with her cousins and friends.
After a good night, but a slow Sunday morning start it looked like all was sufficiently well with Emma for me to continue with my plans, so after dinner with the family, a quick fix of computers for my sister in law Ellie, I left for Boston...the trip was on!
All well - Emma beside "board"
